This trail is a short hike that begins at Smith gap and leads to Wind Gap. The trail itself is around eight miles and doesn’t feature many views or lookouts. Withe the exception of the clearing for telephone lines and a few camping sites near Wind Gap .

The trail features the Leroy A Smith shelter which has a privy and spring several feet away. The shelter is maintained very well by all the fellow hikers. If going on this trail be sure to wear bright colors during hunting season, due to the trail passing through State Gamelands. Also be sure to bring trekking poles and sturdy shoes, this is Rocksylvania!
