​For some you that know me I am a person of many interests and hobbies. So I try to incorporate my hobbies into one trip. Recently I have gotten into the hobby of metal detecting and it has me now looking at the areas around me that may hold some treasures. Through many discussions I’ve heard of a place in Lansford where the coal mine bosses had mansions that were long since torn down. A light bulb went off in my head and I felt compelled to try out that area. 

The area was accessible through an abandoned paved road along the road you could see where the steps were that lead to the mansions. The foundations were only found if you could get through the thick brush. These were some serious mansions! 

All that was was found was an old pair of scissors and a heavily rusted nameplate, however it was a good experience to hike around and see this little known place!
