Bake Oven Knob

If you not a fan of long hikes, but want to get outdoors and see a vista, I have a trail for you. The trail is located in Schuylkill County. The trail runs in junction with the Appalachian Trail, The trail is a well known area to the people in the area. The trail offers well mark trails, the main trail is marked with White paint markers on the trees and rocks. I decided to take my two hounds Rocky and Riley on the trail and hike up to the vista. The area has definitely been victim to high traffic volumes but still remains some what clean the only annoyance is the spray painted rocks that can be found in the main lookout which over looks the southern area, fortunately there is a cleaner place to lookout and you can see both sides of the mountain North and South! follow the white markers! One ironic thing i saw was the spray painted rock that was saying “keep the earth clean.”. Uh Yeah…

The trail can be found here: https://www.alltrails.com/trail/us/pennsylvania/bake-oven-knob-via-appalachian-trail
